Day ShiftThe Data Analyst is responsible for data analysis, which entails interpreting complex data requests, retrieving the data utilizing SQL, Cerner’s CCL and Crystal Report and visualizing the data in a way that makes sense for each request, and helping the stakeholders utilize the data. Collaborates with the other analysts in establishing business rules and monitoring adherence
Provides expertise regarding the appropriate use of data elements and cooperates with reporting personnel from other areas to establish and maintain these common business rules and adherence to standards
Translates data trends into strategic recommendations for program development and action plans
Tracks and prioritizes projects through coordination and negotiation with internal and external clients to improve the efficiency of information/project plan generation.
Evaluates and triages potential projects and studies based on the value, cost benefit analysis and the urgency of the request.
Performs strategic data analysis (data mining) and research as appropriate to support business needs (e.g., disease management, provider profiling, etc.).
Develops detailed understanding of relevant business processes, goals and strategy in order to provide analysis and interpretation.
Develops and communicates action plans to address areas for improvement identified through data analysis and business expertise.
Assists in planning initiatives to address areas for improvement.
Collaborates with business user to define media, frequency and audience for distribution of information.
Develop ad-hoc reports as requested
Participate in “Change Control” process
Adhere to Information Technology and organizational standards

Become
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 1 year of working experience in SQL
Minimum of 3 years of working in an analytical role
Preferred previous experience working in healthcare
Strong analytical skills - ability to structure problems, generate hypothesis, decide which data to collect in order to drive a recommendation
Strong communication skills - both oral and written
Data Visualization tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, and PowerBI
Strong analytical skills, especially with financial data
A strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to step back and see the big picture
Works well collaborating with others
Comfortable navigating complex data structures in SQL Server to retrieve data
