Panasonic Data Analyst in Bridgeton, Missouri
The Supply Chain Analyst will support the Sr. Director of Global Sourcing, Sourcing/Logistics Managers, and Manufacturing leadership teams in the realization of commodity strategies. This role requires creative thinking as well as strong analytical skills. Position works closely with the Supply Chain management team to help create timely detailed spend, service, and inflation/deflation reports, measure strategic initiatives, and identify cost savings solutions for the organization.
Support product evolution and innovation by executing the delegated workflow tasks. Maintain Supply Chain data in the operating systems (prices, supplier data, effective dates, etc.) to support the Supply chain process. Support Sourcing process, in line with our “Quality, Delivery, Prices, Service” vision. Sourcing owner for Hussmann COD process. Assist in RFQ preparation for supply managers. Provide strategic and analytical support to Hussmann’s internal customers.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; familiar with domestic and international freight and parcel package Logistics; broad range of computer skills—databases, spreadsheets, and statistics applications; understand contracts and tariffs; self-directed; ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change; comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels; project management skills.
Role and Responsibilities
Participate actively in the sourcing & logistics process and maintain various databases.
Collect and process data to issue reports on cost inflation/deflation and productivity.
Conduct ad-hoc data analyses for senior management and commodity managers.
Liaison between supply managers and plants, and other functions in cross-functional tasks.
Support commodity strategy execution: leverage spend across plants, optimize cost effectiveness
Develop economic models to forecast economic impact of changing commodity prices.
Collect data and publish daily metals pricing reports. Assess changes to the business.
Research metal market and freight trends and assess impact to business. Report trends to senior management and supply managers.
Analyze, validate, manipulate, and manage large amounts of commodity and transportation spend data.
Prepare research and present data analysis to support strategies and innovations, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Access and Power Bi experience preferred. Responsible for the development and use of spend metric analysis, and monthly KPI reporting, summarize findings and present recommendations within tight deadlines. Assist Managers with RFP, RFQ, benchmarking and planning. Identify cost savings opportunities and make recommendations. Support annual operating planning, help drive the business.
- Act as liaison among Plants, internal and external customers, supporting the Sourcing and Logistics initiatives of the Supply Chain organization. Develop strong intercompany relationships with support teams and customer groups. Problem solving and Innovation, investigate service issues and support resolution. Support the development and implementation of new processes under the guidance of management. Enforce Logistics and supplier purchasing policies throughout the organization, and with company vendors.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, masters preferred
5-7 years overall experience in supply chain related functions
1-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing roles.
Team leadership in a cross functional environment, project management skills
Strong excel skills are a must (v-lookups, pivot tables, data analysis, etc.).
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and look for trends using excel
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to adapt to and work within a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft office suite, working knowledge of access databases, and Power BI
