Our work depends on a Salesforce Developer joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) activities.

  • Working on a team that will design, develop, and maintain software and tools to support building, deploying, and monitoring applications

  • Developing better and more efficient ways of delivering solutions that meet business objectives

  • Creating and maintaining system documentation

  • Writing process requirements, technical design documents, and standard operating procedures

  • Continually advancing the technology in a collaborative and creative Agile environment using many of the latest technologies and industry best practices

  • Perform configuration and customization of the Salesforce.com platform

  • Conducting investigations and analysis to provide recommendations regarding technology improvements, development best practices, standardization, and upgrades

  • Working collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with engineering, developing, unit testing, and administration of Force.com platform (Salesforce Visual Force, Lightning, Apex, SOQL)

  • Experience working with a variety of open-source tools and technologies for managing source codes

  • Experience with software code testing and deployment

  • Experience and expertise in core web technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery

  • Experience deploying enterprise public facing websites/applications

  • Experience working with JIRA

  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development

  • Knowledge of development, testing, and deployment technologies

  • Solid understanding of and detailed experience with application architecture and APIs (for applications like Salesforce, Mulesoft, etc.)

  • In depth knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and experience building integrations

  • Understanding of IT operations and sysadmin roles in order to assist with the integration and deployment process

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US citizen or a Green Card holder

  • Salesforce certification(s), such as: Salesforce.com Developer (DEV-401) or Platform Developer I, Advanced Developer (DEV-501), Platform Developer II, Salesforce.com ADM 201, Salesforce Platform App Builder

  • Knowledge of software development through automation tools

  • Experience with modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, XML, REST, and JavaScript

  • Experience with infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)

  • Experience reading and writing files in multiple formats including CSV, XML, and JSON

  • SAFe certification(s)

  • Health Care Industry or CMS experience

  • Experience with Enterprise Portal and Enterprise IDM

  • Experience working with Confluence
